2026 Underage Drinking Prevention Campaign Toolkit – Prevention Consultants of Missouri (PCMO)

Connecting coalitions and communities to underage drinking prevention awareness and education can make all the difference. Join us as we raise awareness, provide resources, promote evidence-based prevention strategies, and share messages to parents and youth.

PCMO is providing coalitions and communities with underage drinking prevention awareness and education content to implement a local social media campaign. The content will include campaigns from national and state prevention partners as well as original content created by Prevention Consultants of Missouri. This project timeline spans a three-month period from January 1 – March 1.

Goal: Reduce youth use of alcohol in the eight service area counties below the state average as measured by the 2028 Missouri Student Survey.

Social Media Campaign Objective: Implement a three-month awareness and education social media campaign by April 1, 2026 to increase youths’ perception of their parents’ belief that it is wrong for youth to drink alcohol at or above the state average as measured by the 2028 Missouri Student Survey.

Method: PCMO staff will provide awareness and education content for coalitions and other prevention partners to implement three-month, local social media campaigns to address perceptions of the risks of underage alcohol use by targeting both youth and parents.
