Jamie Myers, M.Ed, LPC, NCC, MACSAPP
Executive Director
Working in the prevention field since 1990, Jamie Myers has provided leadership as the executive director of Prevention Consultants of Missouri since its inception in 1993. His work includes providing evidence-based training, strengthening prevention coalitions, establishing collaborative programs and administrative leadership to all agency services. In addition, his professional experience includes working as a licensed professional counselor in the behavioral health field. Supporting the positive efforts or community coalitions, professional organizations, families and individuals is the emphasis of his prevention work. He is an accomplished trainer, teacher and counselor. He has led the successful development and implementation of multiple programs and services in many communities created from proposals and applications he has authored.

Mary Beth Myers, Ph.D, MACSAPP
Coordinator of Education and Training
Mary Beth Myers is the Coordinator of Education and Training at Prevention Consultants of Missouri. She received a doctoral degree from the California School of Professional Psychology. Her research in the area of women and self-esteem and women and victimology has been published in professional and educational journals as well as in popular literature. She has been working in the field since 1978.
Dr. Myers has many years of teaching experience in the social sciences as well as providing professional development workshops and training. She specializes in communication, self-esteem, parenting, children’s issues, suicide prevention, child sexual abuse prevention, and the psychology of women. She is available to do multiple workshops and training for agencies, schools, businesses, churches, and other organizations.
In addition to her work at Prevention Consultants of Missouri, Mary Beth is an instructor at Drury University and Webster University. She is the mother of two children.

Jessica Lucas, MPH, MPS
Prevention Specialist
Jessica is a Prevention Specialist with Prevention Consultants of Missouri. She graduated from The University Of Missouri-Columbia with a Masters in Public Health in 2013. She is available for training in substance use prevention, strategic planning, logic models, social media, mental health first aid, suicide prevention, how to read and communicate data effectively, and capacity building.
Jessica is an avid Missouri sports fan and is the person to a dachsund.

Kathy Heflin, M.Ed
Mentoring Makes A Difference Coordinator
Kathy Heflin joined Prevention Consultants in the fall of 2015. She coordinates the Mentoring Makes A Difference program that matches at-risk children with caring adult mentors. Kathy is a retired educator with 32 years of teaching experience in public schools. She and her husband are the parents of three adult children and a proud grandmother.

Scott Gehlert
Mentoring Director
Scott joined Prevention Consultants in 2022 to help coordinate the Mentoring Makes a Difference program that pairs volunteer mentors with youth in the Rolla Public Schools. Scott has worked with nonprofits and mentoring programs for 20+ years and he is excited to provide support, acceptance, and encouragement to youth in the community

Anita Carroll, MBA
Drug Free Communities Project Coordinator
Anita joined Prevention Consultants of Missouri in January of 2020. She graduated from Webster University with a Masters in Business Administration in 2009. Her previous work experience includes the role of executive director of a medical group and administrator of long-term care facilities in our area.
Anita Coordinates the Drug-Free Communities Project and assists administratively with the Overdose Data to Action and the Comprehensive Addiction and Recovery Act grants. She is excited to be a part of these important initiatives to prevent youth substance use in our community.

Beth Manion-Stacy, MA, LPC
Counselor
Beth graduated with her masters degree in professional counseling in 2006. She has been counseling children and their families for over 13 years. Beth has been happy to serve families at Prevention Consultants of Missouri over the last 10 years.
Janice Wilson, MAOM
Prevention Project Specialist
Janice graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a her master’s degree in Organizational Management in 2013. Janice is a retired Army Veteran with 20 years of Military experience. Her previous work experience consisted of 10 years of working as part of the Department of Defense in Family Programs and Family Readiness. Janice is looking forward to working to affect change and make difference in communities’ we live and work in.
Janice started working with Prevention Consultants in September of 2021 as a Prevention Project Specialist. She is working with the communities to increase their capacity.
Janice enjoys spending time with her amazing Family, volunteering in her community, and making DIY crafts.

Jonni Bryan
Prevention Project Specialist
Jonni joined Prevention Consultants of Missouri in July of 2021. Her previous professional experience focused on efforts to assist at-risk youth as a Juvenile Officer for nearly 5 years in Cole County and a Court Appointed Special Advocate Supervisor of Volunteers in Phelps County for 2+ years. She graduated from Drury University in May of 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Jonni is currently working with the Overdose Data to Action project and is available to provide the Too Good For Drugs curriculum in schools, the Prevention Plus Wellness program with school-age groups, and the Generation Rx education to adult and student groups. She is also providing support to those individuals that are interested in seeking the Missouri Recovery Support or Peer Specialist credentials to increase the recovery support capacity in the region served by Prevention Consultants of Missouri.

Linda Kozlowski
Prevention Project Specialist
Linda graduated from Drury University in 2009 with a BS in psychology, she is also credentialed as a Missouri Recovery Support Specialist (MRSS) and Medication Assisted Recovery Specialist (MARS).
Linda has worked in the public housing sector as well as public health and has spent the last 10 years working primarily with youth and families. Linda joined Prevention Consultants of Missouri in 2016 coordinating and facilitating the “Teen Outreach Program” and began full time employment with the team in 2021.
Linda’s full-time role is working as a Prevention Program Coordinator, working closely with Phelps County Child Advocacy Network (PCCAN) and Drug Free Communities Task force (DFC) and Phelps County schools to provide trainings and tools that improve and enrich adolescent health outcomes.
In her free time Linda enjoys fishing, chicken farming and spending time with family, friends and pets

Lana Croft, M.Ed, Tammy Herpich, Ed.S, Bobbie Shelton, M.Ed
Bobbie, Lana, and Tammy are all retired teachers having a combined experience of 98 years in the classroom. They currently teach the evidence-based curriculum Too Good For Drugs in public schools for grades Kindergarten through 12th.
They are affectionately referred to as “The Drug Ladies” by students in their classes.
